Dr Tara Galligan

Tara graduated from UCD in 1996 and completed her internship in the Mater Hospital. She then undertook a GP training scheme in Dublin. Before setting up practice in Marino Medical Centre she worked as a GP in Tallaght and Glasnevin.
Since her graduation she has carried out further study in the areas of dermatology and mental health. She also has a keen interest in paediatrics, women’s health, antenatal care and breast feeding support.
She is trained in the fitting of long-term contraceptives such as Implanon and Mirena/Copper coils. She is committed to ongoing medical education and is involved in the teaching of medical students from the RCSI.
Dr Dearbhla Dignam

Dearbhla graduated from UCD in 1996 and completed her internship in the Erne Hospital, Enniskillen. She subsequently moved to Scotland where she trained and worked as a GP until 2006. During this time she also received diplomas in both Obstetrics/Gynaecology and Family Planning.
She returned to Ireland in 2006 and worked as a GP in Glasnevin before setting up practice with Dr Galligan in 2009. Throughout her time as a GP she has been very involved in the care of elderly patients giving an insight into the unique requirements of the older patient. She also has an interest in Women’s health and paediatrics. Both doctors have extensive experience in caring for students having worked for a number of years in a university health centre.
